The hotel's rooms were a good size, clean, and had everything I needed. There were stairs leading down to the bar and terrace, or I could take a stroll in the garden or relax in the spa with a fantastic pool, sauna, and steam room. After 10:00 pm, it was quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. However, the marketing photos made the hotel look more glamorous than it actually was, and the rooms could get very hot.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even took immediate action when investigating an alarm before letting guests out. Although they were insistent that my booking was room only, I found their service to be really good. I've even signed up for their offers program as I plan to return.

The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Paignton and the surrounding areas. It's just a short walk to everything I needed, including the seafront opposite Paignton pier. The private parking for residents was a great perk.

The dining experience was a mix. While it was delightful overall, there were some letdowns like the dry and bland dishes and a not-so-great poached egg. The table service was excellent and very organized, though.

The hotel has great facilities including a bar, restaurant, pool, and garden. The stair lifts throughout the property were convenient for guests. Although some areas were not as glamorous as depicted in photos, the peaceful atmosphere and overall cleanliness made up for it.
